What do you guys think of it so far? I've always been a fan of rainbow six Vegas, and I do like Seige, but part of me feels like if I got this it would end up like Destiny for me (on the back burner of what I want to play).

I'd love to hear what you all think makes the game worth it or not.

Once you start playing this game you will become an addict, and that is not a good thing! (in some cases). It is worth the money and as well as playing I have heard good reviews on the game (the reason I bought).

I've played this game for a couple days and I'm level 12. There's nothing really great about this game. It's your typical cover-based shooter with bullet sponge enemies thrown in and simple RPG elements like quests and a loot system. The servers are really sh*tty, but that's because of Ubisoft. Their servers were never really reliable to begin with. There's definitely a lot of lag most of the time and it gets on my nerves. The fact that the servers aren't divided by region means that you'll play with people from all over the world, and that means having to see and hear a bunch of derp**** languages.

It's a decent game, but I wouldn't give it GotY or anything. Something that kinda worries me is that Ubisoft is saying that their company's future is with this game. If that's so, they need to do a lot more to this game to make it worth my while. The character animations are subpar and that can lead to frustration in combat when NPCs are moving around like crackheads and you're unable to get headshots a lot of the time.

I wish this game was first-person. It would help with the immersion greatly. 3rd-person games that don't have a lot of action tend to bore the hell out of me and take any bit of immersion away.

This is my impression so far.

No idea what game your playing but I have never had lag other than launch night.
In terms of bullet sponge enemies/crackhead npcs maybe if your not appropriate level or got good gear yeah npcs will sponge but that's to be expected plus you have 3 level of mod difficulty so of course some will take more damage than others also factoring in some are heavily armored.

Also first person? No way that would take away immersion plus it's not cod or such -.- it's gears style which fits this. Lastly there is action your looking in the wrong place.

Again all my opinion against yours

Honestly, I have only played the beta, and from what I saw its worth it. The gameplay isn't too repetitive and the community is absolutely great. If you're a newbie the older guys will gladly help you grind and level up.

The side missions and encounters are pretty much ALL the same. The guy that hands out missions in each safe house is the same guy... Could they have not made it a different guy in each one?

I'm not sure what exactly you are supposed to do once you reach level 30, just replay the SAME missions over again but on hard mode? I'm currently level 22.

There's so much build up in the beginning about all this story that unfolds, and then you don't even hear much about it. It's just like do whatever the f*** you want.

Other than that, the gameplay is really good. Going around collecting things is good. The progression in terms of experience, skills and better loot is good. The difficulty definitely increases greatly in the later missions.

I'm glad I only paid £24 for it. I would be pissed off if I had paid £55 as I feel there is not much at all to the game. GOTY? No chance. Become an evolving platform? Good luck with that Ubisoft. Like I've said, I'm enjoying it, but I'll complete it and move on and probably never think about it again.

I'm level 19 almost level 20 and already bored with the missions and side missions, very repetitive. Am hoping the DZ will be a bit more exciting.

kinda off topic but where did you buy it for £24. If it's that price, I really wouldn't mind buying it.

I bought it yesterday and I'm like level 4. I think it's pretty good but I'm not "hooked" on it yet. In the back of my mind I feel like it'll be another Titanfall. Popular for a few months and then never spoke about again.

What lag? lol

I play during the late morning and early afternoon and there is noticeable lag. When I shoot an npc, it usually takes half a second for any damage to take effect. When I do missions in groups, sometimes other people lag and can't get into the mission area like that mall mission with the cleaners.

You also have to admit that compared to Destiny, the npc animations aren't as fluid. I hate games that have ****** npc animations. It gets on my nerves in this game sometimes.

First-person is the ultimate sense of immersion. I'm no CoD scrub. f*** that game. Have you ever played an immersive FPS like Riddick or Breakdown? That's what I'm talking about. Also, GoW has better third-person mechanics than this game. I've been playing cover-based shooters like Kill.switch since 2003. This type of gameplay gets old after a while. It's a shame that in every combat encounter, this is what it comes down to; take cover, take aim, take damage, rinse, and repeat. This game can be a lot more fun.

Yes, definitely worth it. Any fellow New Yorkers reading this thread? Tell me if you agree this game is better because it makes you feel like this **** can really happen in our hometown, and you are immersed in taking our city back.
