Hi,I have removed the pad for a solder point whilst attempting a RGH. I came across some old posts in regards to a alternative solder point for point C but none of the image's would show up. This is to perform a RGH1 and the point is FT6U7 on a Falcon motherboard, installing a coolrunner rev C. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

you might have to bridge the 2 traces (where the pad connects)together before you boot up the console. I would bridge the 2 traces and solder the wire onto the bridged connection if i were you. be sure to be careful when bridging the connections

Thanks for the reply, what do you mean by traces not sure i get you. Do you mean put the wire into the hole that's left and solder or am i getting the wrong idea, thanks for the help i'm still annoyed it happened but sneezing and soldering don't go together well. cheers.

Don't bridge the traces. You need to scrape the trace behind the point then solder to the trace directly. When soldering to traces, it's best to hot glue it down as well so the trace doesn't lift

Exacto Knife or fiberglass scratch pen.
OK thanks will try that out when get a second, only reason i was messing around with it was because i can't get my falcon to glitch, and was rechecking the soldering again, am getting close to giving up. Are there any tell tale signs if a rev C in legit or fake as had this one from a friend who had it knocking about for a while and he cant remember where he had it from. Seems like i'm running out of options as to whats wrong. dash can't remember off top of my head but was well under to do RGH 1, not low enough for a JTAG though, CB is 5771 from memory. No problems till needed boot into Xell and green light flashes fine on the coolrunner just doesn't boot. May have to get another to confirm maybe as its probably the 5th time i have re done the soldering just for my own piece of mind, boots fine when put the retail NAND back on. Anyway thanks for the help again.

It's a fake, but don't worry, they don't make originals anymore.
OK thanks should it work just the same? will it work at all or is it going to be pot luck? mine has got the JP and 2-3 connections bridged at the minute, is this right for a fake one as well? If i am wasting my time i'll try get hold of something else. Whats best thing for a RGH1 now that's available? Cheers

It should work, yes. The JP connections can be changed, and they have nothing to do with the chip being fake or not. CR clones are fine, but are more expensive than the matrix glitchers and the x360 ace boards, so if you want you can try these two.

Thanks will keep at it for now and address this solder point and go from there. I have not had a falcon before but done the same as others and just stuck waiting for xell to boot with the green light flashing. Cheers
