Just ordered a LNIB pair for 40 bucks on ebay. While I wait for them to come in, I'm wondering if anyone has used them before and what you thought about them.

I know there are better options out there and blah blah, but I really just want to know about the specific ones I ordered.

Never had a problem. I have had it where no one hears me for no reason. But there is a reset on it. When i reset it, it comes back and the volume resets. For $40 thats a gd deal. I paid $70 a month ago.

Other than that, does the mic sound pretty good to others?

Also, is the virtual surround sound as good as most reviews claim? Lol, one more question, I've read the bass response is kinda weak, is that true?

Surround sound is great and the mic not being in your face is definitely a plus. The plastic around the headset is cheaply made and may start to crack after constant use. Great headset all around though.

I've had mine for 6 month, it's falling apart, started to crack and then the left ear gave way and crumbled.. Decent for the money but not a long haul headset

I got them a month ago, and they are great but i had the sony ps3 7.1 headsets and they didn't sound that much worse. So if you have the ps3 headset it doesn't worth the buy.

Had mine for 2 months and they couldn't take the wear of every day pressure. They wound up snapping at both sides. Bought the Turtle Beach Stealth 500's and imo is way better and wound up being the same price as the golds during a Christmas sale.

I had a few questions for some people that own one
Whats the build quality?(could i drop them of my head from sitting height witouth it being a problem)
How are they for long extended gaming sessions?(I like to play zombies so this is very important to me)
Are they too havey for long sessions because of the battery being in the unit?
Thx
