Greetings Se7enSins,

Some of my game discs aren't installing and to run a menu on them I need to boot from default_mp.xex, is there a way I can load default_mp.xex without installing the disc?

You try installing through FSD, and/or why not just get a rip of the game, and I'm not condoning piracy here.
I tried XeXMenu and FSD3. I got the discs taken to a repair shop yesterday and it's free of scratches and marks but they still won't install. I don't really want to download Iso's as it's piracy.

Ok so does the download just stop at some random point?

Ok in the top right corner of FSD it should say how much space you have if you have no space left you can't install. It's different in regular Xbox storage setting it might say you have such and such amount of space but FSD will say something different because of the allocating of space are you able to format or use a different Hardrive?

Try a different way to copy it.

If you already tried FSD and Xex Menu, Google and download Aurora 0.5 and use that.

If it still doesn't work, the answer is pretty simply your disc is actually scratched/not clean.

There's the alternative of priacy here.
(Which is what I used because I don't have working discs lol)
Download a .iso file, be careful where you download from, extract it with a 360 iSo extractor, either FTP to the console or place it onto a FAT32 formatted USB with atleast 16gbs of memory. And just copy it and move it over from the usb to your HDD

Hey Noobert, I've downloaded and installed Aurora 0.5b onto my RGH and It's loaded perfectly, however I can not find where the button is to extract DVD's, do you know where it is?

Actually now that I think about it, I don't think Aurora has that function yet. I might've spoken too soon.

I'll look around and see if there's another way.

Code:
From the main menu press the back button, highlight file manager and press A,

Browse to DVD and press X

move the left stick to the column with the folder icon on it and scroll down to copy and press A

then what you want to do is create a folder on hdd1 and name it something snazzy like "Xbox 360" or "360"

open that folder and then move the left stick to the column again and scroll down to paste and press A

That's how to do it on Aurora.
