Anyone here play ESEA? Wondered about playing it? Or just stick to MM/or maybe use Face it instead..? Just curious, I just started really playing ESEA Pugs, and they're actually a lot better imo.
Just because of the tick and just overall performance of their servers. My aim registers more on ESEA too, so it makes me happy.

A friend told me to buy a month of ESEA just to play with him. He told me it actually helps you learn more than playing **** MM. I kind of just don't really want to get destroyed till I am at least around LE/LEM rank to hop on it ya know.

It's honestly not that hard either. I don't know your MM rank, I am LE-LEM.
But I also honestly feel what you're saying, some people who play on those pug servers, are insane imo.
Like just never played against someone that good... And just playing it, it's true it does help you learn more.
New smokes/flashes/entries/exits, like all these small things, and the community on it for me so far.. I don't really find ANY toxic players. They even have aim maps which I love, helps me a lot. You'd enjoy it :cigar:

Depends on how much you are into CS, if you really take the game quite seriously and want to have the best possible gaming experience on it and learn somewhat AND are of a decent level, I'd say at least LE, then ESEA is good. I've had ESEA on and off this whole year from me being back in MG up to me being around LEM/Supreme level now and its fun, games aren't often balanced at all as there is no matchmaking system to pair you with even teams like MM so that's why I recommend being at least LE as then you can actually make a difference in 90% of games, there are some games that are like a bunch of gold nova's and some you feel like you are playing against ****ing Cloud 9. I like the website and stats it gives also and for the price it's definitely worth it.

FaceIT has to many issues for me to pay for it's premium. I often have small bugs like not being able to bring up my scoreboard and sometimes have server issues where my ping spikes often, also quality of games seems to be much lower.

CEVO, spent a whole day trying to play it and the service was awful imo. Getting in a game is such a hassle, website is clunky and I don't really like the client layout.

If you just play the game mostly for fun with friends, MM is fine. New hitboxes make it much better imo and I actually enjoy MM a fair bit now but only when with friends. ESEA is better for a solo experience as in general more people with mics and willing to cooperate, however there are still idiots.

Personally I love ESEA, I never play MM anymore simply because it's not necessary since I have a better alternative.

Besides the fact that the client is really ****** and ESEA is really sketchy, I have heard nothing but great things about the actual people you play against on ESEA. My friend payed for a month and went from Gold Nova Master to Legendary Eagle easily.

Pros
  • You get better.
Cons
  • Bit coin miner and other crap tied in with the client.

That con doesn't mean anything anymore lol. And the client uses almost zero resources as well.

One week they are **** and next the fix themselves. I still would go with them because of all the bad stuff they've done.

Eh sometimes I check my task manager and the client in the background is using like 40% of my cpu, some other people have said this as well. Don't really notice it but if I was to start doing something cpu intensive could be problematic however I just close the client if I'm not playing cs.
