I need a build, What im looking for atm
cpu was thinking i5 6600 or 4690
mobo
ram
case
psu
and anything needed to boot it (forget the hdd)
These are all the parts im looking for at the monent.
*Keep it cheap and for the gpu I'm thinking of a gtx 970/980 or a R9 390/380 so the case needs to big enough to fit those but remember I'm not buying those yet.
Only tough decision I'm having is to pick what cpu + gpu work best together. I don't want bottlenecking.
Chazay Chazay
also, I will be buying all these parts from Amazon.com

No the 4690k is older archetecture and the boards are 1150 socket the new mobo's have 1 more ****ing pin (A socket change a year keeps the goyim in fear) so sadly the mobo's are incompatable.

Best thing about skylake is the PCI lanes & new mobo chipset.

Why would you change your mind though? There is no benefit to the 4690k over the 6600k

Its worth it compared to a $70 Z97 chipset the VRM's will be much better & the features are pretty great especially M.2 Slots and better PCI lanes incase you wanna Crossfire or use PCIe SSD's.

Skylake will last ages + the igpu on skylake has great features for DX12 gaming even with a dedicated GPU.

Skylake?Haswell. The iGPU is far better, and it's just an overall better architecure/socket. No reason to get the 4690k over the 6600k for the sake of saving like $50. Get the 390, 390x is not worth the premium. 980 isn't worth the premium over a 970 but the 390 is around 970 price, with better performance. We can't help you without a budget, but you should be getting something like this if you can;

with a decent cooler, something like a Dark Rock Pro 3, PH-TC14PE, NH D14, D15, D15S, or something.

The Enermax-T60 is probably the best choice for above 212 evo & below Noctua.
