I've had my RGH for a few years. Bought it from someone on here actually. Anyways I JUST bought a new 2tb hard drive for it, recently it hasn't been booting up onto the tv but I usually can get it to work by unplugging it from the power source for a while and it'll be fine when I get back. But a day after I got my HDD it has gotten worse. I put a good amount of games back on it and everything and that all worked fine. But now it starts doing this. I'm really upset because I was excited to start playing modded games and stuff on it... I'm aware it's most likely a soldering issue (underline because I'm sure that's the first thing people will tell me.) and if that's the case I'm screwed because I don't know how to do any of that. If anyone has any ideas or tips on things I can try to fix it please let me know. It turns on but my controller doesn't connect and it doesn't show up on the TV. I can see the red light inside, that's always on as soon as I plug in the Xbox but it has never blinked green or anything, even when it was working. Today I got it to boot up ONCE and that was after a few times of just unplugging it and stuff. I'm not sure if it's because I used Dashlaunch to make FSD boot up on default? I changed the "power" and the "guide" path to the FSD part. It worked fine but that's pretty much the only big thing I've done to it other than put games on it. Thanks in advance, I really want this fixed. Also, I'm a noob for a lot of things so sorry if I don't know what you mean when you tell me something.

Okay I think I am just screwed and the damn thing needs re soldered and possibly even more. So does anyone know of a reliable person who will fix my problem for cheap? I understand the skill and everything needed to open up an Xbox and fix the stuff inside but I really don't want to spend a lot.

Does it boot without the new hdd?

And if it was done by half a professional then you soldering should never be the case, It's not like your playing football with your xbox.

My guess is your pulse is off because of the new hdd, or your wiring is in a bad spot.

I live in canada so I doubt you can send me your console, But there are a few people in the b/s/t section you can look at to send it off for repairs.

Nope, it doesn't boot without the new hdd. Although before it was booting more frequently when I had that hdd out so you may be right but now it's not even booting up without the new hdd. And I put in my old internal hdd and it doesn't boot with that either. And that internal hdd is perfectly fine.

Okay I finally got it to boot after 24 hours of it not booting. I'm not sure If this is why or if it's just a coincidence but I put a big fan next to the xbox and it started to work... Sooo not sure. I have the internal fan going full blast using freestyle.
