I bought a 360 last night, finally got Forza, now it won't play. When I put the disk in, it says "Play Game" with no logo, when I do that it goes black for five seconds, the disk starts spinning, then boots right back to the hub or whatever it is called.. I tried a movie and it worked perfect. I ran a laser cleaner disc and nothing, formatted the HDD previously so it had nothing on it, maybe something to do with it? I just want to play Forza...

Does it play other games? If so, I'd return Forza and exchange it.

I don't have any other games yet, was just wondering if it was software related, disc has no scratches and is NTSC..

EDIT: Just noticed game disc says "made in Puerto Rico"
Think that's it?

Might be a faulty disk. Is the disk clean? Try rebooting it by unplugging the power and replugging it in. Worth a shot.

The disc could be faulty or the region the disc was produced for could be causing the problem, example PAL and NTSC.

Where did you get the console from? It might be the region. And which forza are you trying to play?

lol... Play game usually means its the wrong dvd drive in the xbox if the drive itself is functional and playing movies and such or wrong DVD key.

1. Make sure you are on the newest update (It should not cause the black screen but if the game is made for a newer dashboard you still won't be able to play it)

2. Get a different game and test it.

3. If it still says "Play Game/DVD" on the screen then you know for sure its either.

a-Your laser is going.....gone.
b-Your DVD key on your Drive is not matching the key on your motherboard. (IE he just put a dvd drive in to quickly sell it)
c-He lost the dvd key and you will now have to either RGH the machine to get it, or have a half *** dvd player lol.
