Shock has spread throughout the gaming world since Activision announced today that a new CoD will be joining the monster franchise this fall. Activision stated, "this is an exciting new game from one of our top development teams," later confirming that that top development team is Treyarch, creator of the "Black Ops" series and the famous gamemode we all know and love, Call of Duty Zombies.
The new CoD title by Treyarch will be Tryarch's first game made under Activision's new "three-year, three-studio" development schedule, which gives games an extra year of development time. This will ensure that future "Call of Duty" games will be of better graphics and gameplay.
Activision refuses to comment on rather or not this game will be another Black Ops sequel, or a sequel to World at War. Many fans believe that it will be a World at War sequel, due to the recent image floating around of the famous World at War roman numeral, with a reveal date.
Since Activision is still supporting Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, the 2014 Call of Duty, with new content, information for the new Call of Duty isn't expected to be released any time soon. New Call of Duty games joining the series are generally revealed around May, with the game releasing in the fall, so stay tuned with the news to see the most recent details. So what do you think, will it be World at War 2, Black Ops 3, or something totally different?
