I think you can upgrade to ultimate via the disc, and I take that you don't trust me and the tool I sent you?

You can use an activator to bypass this. It's basically a crack that spoofs it into thinking it's genuine. Some google searches or 7sins searches will yield some results.

There's your problem. I'd get rid of it if I can. What is it coming up as and from what file? It's hard to tell. KMSpico is a good activator.

If I'd have Norton installed, I'd re-install windows lmao. If I bought a laptop with Norton, reinstalled windows within the 30 mims of having it. When I was buying my aloenware laptop, they kept insisting me to put Norton, I said if you put Norton on my machine, either send me a blank harddrivr and ssd or I'll send back the laptop for a refund. Norton & Comcast are the biggest jokes ever, once in your system, forever in your system until a fresh install.

My laptop came with Norton as well. I used a removal tool. Uninstalling doesn't actually get rid of the files. Norton is basically a virus itself.

Microsoft has stepped up the security flaws with spoofing activation keys. You're better off downloading a Pre-Activated version of windows and installing it. Also move all your storage to an external drive so you can transfer the data.

Norton could have mirrored its files, not familiar with it at all, but a possibility since I heard it ties itself into so many things. For protection, I use Microsoft's on all my machines. Think its called Microsoft security essentials. No problems at all.

I meant the operating system completely. Which should wipe the harddrive, sorry for all the errors Im on my phone and sometimes its hard to see what I type.

I agree. Most symantech products are like this. I was using symantech end point protection, when I uninstalled it, it didn't just leave files behind, it kept running! A way to get rid of it is trace all of it's files and remove them, then go though the registry to delete all of it's left overs. Microsoft essentials is what I usually put on customer PCs and I personally use avast and spy bot S&D for any spyware software.
