This same zephyr i talked about in another thread has some strange stuff going on. I opened up the console, because of the good old fashioned E74 error. I was recording it to show that the error was not the H/ANA chip but thr gpu, and to show that (just for time's sake) i tightened the heatsink on the rhea gpu that came with the console. when i restarted the console, for some reason, it red ringed. I was thinking: "Huh, maybe those rumors about tightening your heatsink too much does short out the board." So i unscrewed the heatsink a little, and it did the same thing. So i unscrewed a little more. It did this a few times, so finally, i got tired of it and just took the heatsink off, and that fixed the issue (E74 was still there, obviously). I stopped the video, and let it run, and then it 2 ringed, so i put the heatsink back on as well as reapplied the fans, and then i turned it back on, and red ring. At this point i was mad, because now i had 2 problems on my hand: this issue with the gpu, and the E74. So turned on the console, red ring and all, and got the SEC, which was 0031. I found a list of error codes over on the console mods wiki, and the error was this:
ERROR_V_5P0
VREG_V5P0_PWRGD negated unexpectedly

The wiki said to replace the power supply, so i did that. Same issue. "Check V_5P0 rail components." I have no idea what that means, so i didnt do it. My guess is that one of the small little capacitors under the gpu disconnected from the board. Im not sure if this is one of those things where i need to reflow the underside of the board (the board is warped, moderately).

Just use it as a parts system, the gpu is toast and there's no point in replacing it because unless you have bga rework equipment it's going to be very expensive. A reflow might work, but i wouldn't bother for anything more than an experiment as it just won't last. Plus with the board warped thanks to the bolt mod, it'll be hard to fix. Keep it for parts, but I wouldn't count on it ever running reliably ever again.
