    I just bought 2gb of ram for my computer. Is that a good amount to run windows vista ultimate?

    Just want to make sure.

    Alright thanks. Another question, if I leave the two sticks of 512mb ram in and add two 1gb of ram will it effect the computer at all? I heard that it's not good to midmatch ram like that. ;

    2GB is the minimum recommended for Vista IMO...

    And it depends on your RAM and PC Krank...run a scan here and it will tell you whether your new RAM is compatible with your current setup

    Code:

    If you have questions post back here and I'll help

    Ok, in your scan results there will be a section that says how many slots you have on your machine. If you have 4 slots, this is step 1 to allowing all RAM chips. There's another section that will say what RAM is compatible with your machine. As long as both RAMs are compatible you should be good

    If you can't figure it out paste your results link from your scan
