My Xenon is from 2005 and has a CB version compatble with the jtag hack.

1. I Wired the LPT and the Jtag and proceeded to dump my nand.
2. I got both copies with no errors using nandpro.
3. I Checked that they were the same in total commander.
4. I Opened it in Degraded v1.1. - No errors, all was good. CB 1921
5. I Installed Xell and got E 79 error
6. I Installed Origanal nand back and booted fine.
7. I repeated 5. and 6. with same results again.
8. I did the injecting and installed XBR and got E 79 error
9. I Installed Origanal nand back and booted fine.

why cant i get it to boot xell or anything?
It Read Orginanl nand and wrote back on...
im stumpped as this is my first jtag
ive done 3 dvd drives in the past.

Your JTAG wiring is wrong, or crappy.

Appreciate the help,

To get it correct the diodes red side would be by J1F1 and the black side would be towards J2D2?

1N914 diode?
On jtag wiring im using the below show example..

http://www.se7ensins.com/forums/topic/108432-how-to-do-the-jtag-hackdump-nandxell/

Can anyone confirm if im understanding the direction of the diode correctly?

The line on the diode is to be in the same orientation as that of the line in the picture

use JTAG Tool and flash the xell image. If it doesn't work, check your wiring again.

Ya dude its Def. the JTAG wiring not the NAND dump wiring so only pay attention to those. If it still doesn't work I suggest trying a different resistor. Same ohm but just a different one. I had some problems then that is what I did and it worked fine. Good luck

If you still use resistors, just no.

1N4148 diodes is what works best, as far as a "standard" goes.
Oh s*** lol my bad that's what I meant. I use the NAND-X now for my latest few JTAG's and haven't had to buy any "Diodes" in awhile lol. Thanks for clearing up my fail
