Hello everyone, so I'm hoping to steel some knowledge of someone.

So yesterday I got the Xbox Series X and I wanted to try Gears 5 out at 120FPS. I am aware this is only for multiplayer and I have found the setting in order to change my FPS.

However, after changing my Xbox to 120hz the cap is stuck at 60 I physically cannot change it.

I currently own a MAG272C 165hz 1080p Monitor. When I check in the Xbox settings it says my monitor supports native 1080p at 120.

Does anyone know what this issue could be? I am using the HDMI cable from the new Xbox.

Can you change modes in your monitor?
Maybe you are using “Movie” mode and need to use”Gaming” mode.
Is the Xbox set to 60 FPS because of that?
Is it possible the game itself isn’t compatible with 120 FPS?

Try going into Xbox settings. TV & display options --> video fidelity & overscan, then try overriding your display through HDMI.
