I remember seeing a user posting a month back or so about him picking up a broken Xbox One from a friend for $20 and was self-repairing it to work. He was missing the WiFi board and optical drive, but had the hard drive (he had upgraded to a 2TB I think?) working and such. He got it booting via a hardware modification to simulate pressing the "On" button, and hardwired his controllers. I hope his worked out seeing as OP's here did!what would be the point?
