Hello everyone!

My name is Dylan and I am new here. I've been trying to fix my xbox one with no luck. The wifi was working and then stopped. It was bizarre. It says I'm connected but the wifi isn't working. I try to connect and it askss me to input an ssid. It also cannot find my wifi and other wifi signals. I'm only able to connect with ethernet. My xbox also loses its connection with my controller and I have to reset the system for the controller to work again. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I've also factory reset several times. I've disconnected my ps3 from the internet and have followed tons of troubleshooting tutorials with no luck. I know %100 the wifi card functions.

I've fixed the controller but the wifi still isn't working. I think I'll have to replace the network card which is easy to do and the card is cheap to buy.

It’s probably not your WiFi card.
It’s more than likely something to do with the network you are trying to connect to.
Are you using an unsecured public network?
Have you tried connecting to a wireless hotspot on a cellphone?
I have had a similar issue. The city I live in has free wireless but since the Xbox sees it as not secure it won’t connect.
What I did to solve the issue was either connect to my cellphones wireless hotspot or
Connect to the network with my iMac then share the internet via WiFi from it.
Have you tried Xbox support?
Here is a link to solutions for your issue:
Troubleshoot your Xbox One Network connection.

So the controller after updating is still freezing and I'm having reset the connection. Still no wifi connection. Is heard it's a huge issue with xbox one consoles. I'm going to order a network card and replace it. Wifi and controller issues.

Did you have a chance to troubleshoot as per instructions on the Xbox support site?
I linked it to you in my previous post (the text highlighted in green).

Yes, I've seen the site. No luck. Sfer updating the controller firmware it worked for a day and froze again. Reset to factory, update, power cycle etc...no wifi and controller freezing. I thought about wiping the hdd through my laptop and putting back into the console and having it cycle through rebuilding itself. My best guess is that it's the network card. It has to be. I saw a youtube video on the same problems I'm currently having. What do you think? There $20

I think that you should probably just buy the new network card if it’s only $20.
If you are set on it having a wireless connection.
I’m sure it’s easy enough to install.
I would probably just go with a wired connection myself and save the $20 bucks.

It's a 15 minute procedure. I've fixed 360's and ps2/3 in the past. Never fixed or even opened an xbox one yet. Should be fun!

Yeah I have built several PCs myself and modded Xbox 360s but never opened my XBox ones.
I have a Xbox one X that hasn’t worked right since I bought it.
It overheats so easily that just starting a game like GTA or RDR2 will crash the console.
I have been meaning to get around to fixing it but haven’t found the time.
Besides the money wasted on it I also have a OG one and a One S so I haven’t been super motivated.
Every time I look at it I just get angry... lol
