Whenever i try to open up Xbox Backup Creator, a error message appears saying "run-time error:" "Component MSCOMCTL.OCX or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid."

Can someone tell me what this means or help me fix this problem.
It would be appreciated.

Download it from here, then put it where your xbox backup creator is located at.

The MSCOMCTL.OCX I provided worked for me and others, that is all that's needed.

well idk how it works for you and not everyone else. but okay....the only file that needs to be in with xbc though is FrogASPI.dll though. so register that ocx so every program from now on will work in the first try, w/out having to copy + paste it into every folder

yes, it needs to be registered.
you can do so via CMD or that program.

I placed it in there and the same message still came up.
Try running as administrator, if you are on windows 7. Re-extract it to another folder, see if that works.

I got that error in the past, it asked for that file so I searched about for it, then got it, put it within the .exe location, viola it worked. I haven't had it in a long time though.

Could someone fix this through teamveiwer? Im not computer smart and dont really know what to do.

the program i told you to download above already has the ocx you need in its directory. simply open that program, highlight the ocx you need, then hit register. then restart your computer

Thanks alot. That fixed it.

no problem man. if you need anything go ahead and pop out the question. just make sure you post it in the right section, you see your post was moved because it was in the wrong area. you might have been asking because you were ripping gta, but it still goes in the xbox support forum.
