He actually said V1 in the post (its hard to notice), but I would never use the coax cable on slims. It has made the timming worse everytime for me

yep didn't saw it ^^ I used an double shielded cable made be me ( old osciloscope one that i cut ) and it worked pretty well on my slim And my R-jtag falcon , but every motherboard is different.
Grounded cable is always better.

Lol I would think it should be since it helps eliminate interference. I guess have just had bad luck with it.

depends what quality it is, got it from an old C1-65A ^^ that crapped out long long long time ago. Yep it Minimizes Electromagnetic Interference and noise.

Right so me and the OP are the ones doing this, i can flash xbox's and various things like that, so im doing the software side of things, Vipxnathan831 is going to do the hardware side of things.

We have a Corona V1 as mentioned, We also have ordered a NAND-X RGH Edition, a Corona QSB, and a TX CR Xilinx XC2C64A Dev Board Rev C. Is this all we need, AFAIK and have researched it is.

Also whats the difference between the Corona QSB (v1???) and the v3?

Thanks.

That's about all you need. A Corona V1 has POST_OUT in it's normal location. POST_OUT on a V3 has it removed.

Ok Thanks, I know thats the difference between the v1 and v3 board... but i meant whats the difference between the Corona QSB and the Corona QSB v3... Is it a newer revision or is the v3 for the v3 board and the other 1 for the v1 board?

Thanks again.

One thing that sucks is the things your ordered could have been a bit better:
1) You did not need the RGH edition of the NAND-X because all the stuff it comes with is outdated now so you could have saved a few bucks there
2) Instead of the corona QSB V1 you could have just gotten a CR3 Lite that comes with the crystal on it
3) If you had gotten a CR3 lite you would have used the V3 instead of the V1 (thats the difference, so I hope you got the V1)
4) Make sure that the chip you got is genuine because most sites that sell the good ones don't list it with its long name like that

Otherwise yes that will work.

He meant the QSB version.

Yeah noticed this after, but vipxnathan831 was in to much of a rush to order the parts and i was sorta busy so i just found what i could quickly (but that i knew still worked)

1. Yeah noticed this a few hours ago, to late now so nevermind.
2. Oh right well that explains it.
3. Yh we got the v1 so thats lucky.
4. All this stuff is from ck3.co.uk (since we are in the UK) and i ordered a CK3 Lite from there years ago (x360usb etc. didn't exist.)

Thanks.
I see that now. I feel silly.

it's ok don't feel silly

Should be good then. It was imperative you got the V1 because the V3 doesn't have the crystal on it.

That is the right one you need, so yes, you will be fine and you have everything you need.

Great, Will remember next time to get a cr3 lite instead. Can you recommend a good tutorial for corona, I could probably work it out by myself but why reinvent the wheel. Thanks. All tutorials i find are not for the corona.
