Lol you don't have a Coolrunner
Matrix chip ftw lol. Never knew that the coolrunner did that. Ive done consoles with them too but never used a USB before selling. I was gunna swap mine out for a coolrunner but the boot times are the exact same with the capacitor and 52 cm wire. Not sure the exact cm but I'm pretty sure its 52cm (I got it written in a txt file). that sucks tho what an annoyance

Well people that have Matrix chips on Slims are cool like you and me:cool:
Hell yeah bro. I'm pretty sure I glitched my slim before the coolrunner was even released lol. I did one when all you could boot was xell with a diligent cmod and sold it because it took about 2 mins to glitch

You can switch from a hacked kernel to a stock kernel allowing you to have a 2 in 1 console which can play home brew and access Xbox live (not at the same time of course).

The jtag always sounded like more solid of a mod to me...

The RGH for one is alot more expensive to do, results in the installing of more hardware,
requires sometimes multiple seconds to boot correctly (have the long term effects of repeatedly messing with cpu signals even
been studied closely enough, lol). Don't get me wrong, I believe this exploit is truly genius, but I don't believe it is the end all answer.

I mean who wants to wait 40 seconds while there xbox is continuously being screwed with by a $20 Chinese card.

Personally the jtag is pretty worthless to me, as the supplies cost over $100 from scratch, I rather buy $100 in dvd DL and just last myself to the end of the 360's market life.

Messing with CPU signals? You actually think that would cause long term issues? All it does is change the way the code is run. 40 seconds? That's only for people who are too lazy to optimize on a Slim; fat consoles boot in 1 second usually, no more than a JTAG. You're speaking based on what you read and then make assumptions and state notions that simply aren't true. Do some research and you will see you are just being foolish with what you are saying.

Yes I am questioning the long term effects of installing a 3 dollar Chinese card, that retails for $20. Is that to crazy of a question?

The xbox scene and Nintendo moding scene are becoming one in the same in my eyes. Make one crappy approach, mass manufacture a bunch
of over priced mods (with at least a 75% mark-up), wait until someone remakes it for a more reasonable price, and then come out with a "better mod".

The best is the kind of people who actually buy these jtags/rgh. Most of them have no clue what they are buying. But the ultimate scam is this dual nand garbage. I have seen people selling slims with dual nand for over $350!!!
I mean really how stupid of an investment, when you could purchase two xbox's for that price, and have a mod service done on one of them.

Really? I had a Xenon with a broken disk drive in my closet just waiting to be Jtagged, my dad allready had a soldering iron. The LPT cable, resistors and diodes hardly costed anything! But I geuss I was lucky having a Xenon in my closet. And with the fan speed set to 100% on FSD 24/7, i've had no problems so far. I've had it for a year now aswell.

However I do have a retail Falcon, Jasper and Trinity so i'll probably be doing the RGH some time soon.

sorry, I believe I intended to say RGH instead of Jtag.

The Jtag is truly 10x what the RGH could ever be IMO. The bug in the Hypervisor's Syscall Handler (unsigned shader I believe) exploited by the Jtag mod is best
kind of exploit the modding community could hope for. Just pure unsigned code, minimal amounts of wire needed to solder, no trashy cards to the mobo etc.
Basically the point I'm trying to convey is that the RGH isn't nearly on the level of the jtag when looked at in a strict computer/hardware/software sense.

They only reason people believe the RGH is "better" than the jtag is because of the hampered hardware/software we are dealing with... The xbox 360.
If it wasn't for the trashy first phat line productions the red ring errors on jtagable xbox's wouldn't exist. Also the dash limitations.

The RGH actually is only good because it allows people post -exploitable dash's to run unsigned code. Also the addition of slim xbox's..... etc. It just really bothers me that people interpret these traits to believing that the RGH is the xbox 360 modding revolution....

As an owner and creator of jtags and rgh consoles I can officially say your retarded. Rgh and jtag have different hacks resulting in the same outcome, Unsigned code. Rgh is 10x what the jtag could be because unlike the jtag hack, rgh can run test kit and dev kit kernels and can be done on the slim. Both consoles have "pure" unsigned code lol get your head out your ***.
