THIS IS INFO ON CONSOLE BAN SCAN AND WAYS TO PREVENT:

Well, i just got console banned at 1:26 AM, i disconnected from Xbox LIVE in middle of an intense GB match, tried to sign back on and it said

" This console has been banned for violations of the Terms of Use. To protect the Xbox LIVE service and its members, Microsoft does not provide details about console bans. There is no recourse for Terms of Use violations. "

I'm selling my Xbox 360 to a pawn shop and purchasing a PS3.

DETAILS (MODS I HAD) *READ, IF YOU HAVE THESE I RECOMMEND ERASE*

I had standard mods which most people usually have like:

    - Modded Avatar (Red skin and stuff)
    - Modded gamerscore (not a lot, like only 9k)
    - HUD on Hardcore
    - Colour Custom Classes
    - Solo Nazi Zombie Mods
-and i used to have Switch Teams
    - and my GTA IV save is modded.

I wish you all the best of luck and my fingers are crossed that no one else gets banned! See you guys.

    It's modding your gamerscore.

I don't think that is the main reason. They usually just reset it for your first warning. I got reset just a few days ago.

Yes, I think it may have something to do with CoD modding. But I haven't gotten banned yet, it is just a matter of time now.

I don't think they can detect the HUD, but the switch settings, and ufo/god mode I'm sure they do.

    (Hopefully not for modded gamertags)

    Gamesaves won't warrant a ban.

I think it's because you messed with your avatar and GS. Sure they may reset it on your first warning, but perhaps the combination of the two pissed MS off. Also if he has a flashed box, he might have had a bad rip.

It's obvious That You had A Flashed Xbox Because i have Each One of Those Mods and i did not get banned and yes i did Recive the update yesterday
or There is A Chance That They Are Banning The People That Didnt Recive The Dashboard By The Legit Way
i Should Inform My Flashed Friends This Could Be A Ban Wave.

If he got banned for playing a backup, then he had a bad rip. If he could tell us the last couple of games he played. I hope it isn't Madden 2010. I played it for like 2 seconds yesterday.

To those who are flashed, you must stay up to date. If you still have 1.4 then you need to get 1.51 or 1.6. Make sure you run through ABGX, and that the stealth is good.

EDIT: Went to my favorite site, there is MAYBE a ban wave in action. Be very careful. I would say AVOID NO/CLIP in COD, perhaps modded profiles may be the target. Gamesaves should be safe though.

Also might be people with the update who were not selected.

I am pretty sure that they won't console ban you for that. You either have to have been suspended a lot or had a few accounts banned to have your console banned. That or you had a flashed drive.

    Dude You either
Modded Several profiles on your console and even then they would only do an account ban.
You must have had a Flashed Xbox with old firmware and a bad rip.
Account MOdding - Account ban (unless modded several times will Warrant a console ban)
Console Ban - MOdded firmware or modded chipsets

You guys realize this thread was made in like August. Let it die. No need to bump a nearly half year old thread.
