Hi,
I bought a x360 Ace V3, but it is missing the component C3 (see picture). Can anyone confirm if it is needed for the board to work?

All the Ace v3 chips i've ever bought ( Clones and legit ones) all have the small component on "C3" inplace and soldered on the PCB.

If you have the Chocolate X360ACE V3 with confirmed verification code, "D" pad marking on the side and not above the pad and the R22 resistor with a marking of "0" and not "000", then you have the latest ones out with a resistor attached to the Crystal and the Crystal offset. the C3 is omitted. My last order are all like this but the verification codes passed for me. I have been using them on the Trinity boards and they have been working great, 3-5 sec boot after touch.

I however have not found an image on their site or elsewhere to date with this new configuration.

Hi, I believe it is correct after doing some research.
I'll let you know if it doesn't work.
C3 and C4 are excluded on these boards.
Here is a picture of mine, which I have prepared for RGH 1.2
