    I have about 3 problems I think.

When ever I reboot/turn on my computer,I sign in a nothing loads. I figured out to fix it, ending the explorer process and restarting it but thats not a permanent fix because it just does it the next time I turn on my computer.

    2nd problem

Whenever I click on some program, like Firefox, a window pops up saying "open file with, and it has a list of programs. When I click cancel, it says that it has either been removed/deleted/renamed. This only happens to some programs.

    3rd problem

When I open iTunes I get this:

If you could help me that would be great!

Sounds like your core installation of windows got screwed up, Re-install.

    So pretty much reformat?

Couldn't put the disk in and let it check for errors or something?

If I remember correctly there should be an option to have it repair the installation, which will NOT reformat your hard drive or cause you to lose any files. I've done it before, and it worked for me. Its worth a shot.

An easier task would be to run a system recovery. Have you done one yet?

I know how to do it for xp and it dosent re-format.
You have to restart your computer then when the first screen appears press F10. I believe. And it will repair you computer. It basically restores factory settings but dosent delete anything. Weird right. But it does work for sure. You should give it a shot if you are running XP.

his problem has to do with the core installation, not system registry... That's all a system restore does is it restores certain settings files and registry entries if I remember correctly.

A system repair should also work as Termination has mentioned, it would also be on the windows installation disk.
