i have a compaq pressiro (sp?) and the wireless button is playing up, since i brought it the button is always "on" when i turn the laptop on, but its no "off" when i turn it on.

When i try to turn it on, sometimes it works streight aways, sometimes it dose nothing, sometimes it comes on then turns back off.

what i want to know is , is there anyway to bypass the switch so that the laptop thinks its on ? or is there another fix ?

thanks

Theres probably a way but you could just take the button off and solder a wire to the solder links where the switch is soldered.

Just solder the 2 end of the wire to the 2 ends of the switch on the mobo to bypass the switch.

I wouldnt recommend it tho, it could probably mess it up more. Idk.

This would work, but look ugly and if you dont do it right can cause issues. If it is under warenty I would recommend sending it in for repair.
