My sound is basically playing on different channels, if you know what i'm talking about. It sounds distorted and when watching (or listening) to a video/song, I can barely hear the lyrics, just some background sounds/noise.

Ex. Try slightly unplugging your headphone from the jack and the result is distorted noise.

I tried changing the audio to Stereo and disabling enhancements (even downloading new Realtek drivers), but to no avail.

I'm on the verge of re-installing Windows 7.

-snip-

Any help is much obliged.

Are you sure its not the input jack on your mobo or front panel?
Also have you tested your output speakers on another device?

Just checked and after 3 tests with multiple headphones, I've deduced that the front panel audio jack is "corrupt". Though it did work for about 1 minute after I uninstalled/re-installed the drivers.
Though I'm not sure how it happened.

Thanks for the help. For now, I'll use my MB jack until I can sort out the issue. Cheers.

No problem.
Just stick to the motherboard input until you can be bothered to get a new jack for the front panel.
