Discussion Will this game last?

Reason for this thread is quite simple: Do you think this game will last?

It is a stripped down version of the previous Battlefield games and it seems there is not a lot to aim for. Most of the weapons are easy to get and pretty much unlocked straight away and after that there is just war bonds and skins for your guns. No new guns? what do we spend the war bonds on?

Battlefield 4, although quite broken in many ways, had very little restrictions as to where or what you could do to. It is still a sandbox game, granted, but with this game it seems very restricted. You wanna walk up that hill in the middle of the map? nah, that is blocked. It sometimes it feels like a Call of Duty map mixed in with the Battlefield mechanics.

I love the battlefield franchise very much and I love this game, I just feel Battlefield 1 will come to end much quicker than the previous lot.

Any thoughts on this? is it just me?

I also feel the same, it gets pretty boring after playing 24/7 for a straight 3-4 days, repetition is all it is really.

Uhm, yea I'm pretty bored after playing for like at least a week.

It might just be me, but I can't get enough of this game. They finally brought back the destruction levels from the bad company 2 era. However, the only thing I wish is that there were more guns. Sure, more will come with DLC. I still wish there was more variety or that customization insofar as BF4 was present. Even still, for me this game is a lot of fun. I usually switch off between Rush and Operations if it matters and I play with all 4 classes.

There's just some weird addicting property to this game that the previous battlefields didn't give me. Maybe its my love for the old wars.

I enjoy the game, it's lots of fun and all that... But I find if I sit and play it for too long, then I'm really bored of it. I haven't played it for a few weeks mind, so hopefully I'll jump on again and fall in-love with it all over again!

Level 71 and only played for like 3-4 Hours the last two weeks. I got 10x more Gametime in BF4 and still counting.

BF1 pretty disappointing actually.

Yea its very limited, but i dont seem to get bored like Atlas said i play with all 4 classes and its really fun, plus the new mode operations its good.

Love operations. Takes the best of conquest and rush and blends it together over multiple maps. Such a cool idea.

I don't think it'll die for a long time I really like BF1 although I haven't played it for months now because I've been changing games a lot but I've been thinking about going back to it

I stopped playing solely because there are more enjoyable games where you don't get spawn killed/sniped from all angles.

I'm enjoying the game. I like how you can play slow-based or fast-paced. Sniping from a distance, to supporting and in the line of fire as you are able to squad up and achieve objectives with your team mates. Granted, it's always been like this. I been a fan since BFBC. It was, to me, not an upgrade or downgrade from previous BF series. I just enjoy the game.

I would say yes I think they released Battlefield Hardline as game to hold people off until they are done with this one obliviously BF1 being a way better game then hardline this battle field will probably go down in history as one of the greatest in the series

There are a lot of guns on there so where are they? They may well add them at a later stage but that would mean only DLC owners have them.

Why have they done this?
