All I'm gonna say is that microsoft is very lazy and lax with their security.

Um.. no they aren't. When a bug is found, they patch it almost instantly.

I've heard that you can download and burn ps3 games but everysite i've been to have a look nothing but viruses and ads trust me don't waste your time anyway id rather have a physical case disc and book then a dodgy burnt disk

Hmm, they called 2010 the year of 360 Homebrew. And now the PS3 gets hacked... well admins better start expanding this section .

The iPhone/iPod works similar.. it runs through some stages on boot people found ways to get around it. I'm sure people could for the PS3

    I think it should read
Running homebrew and playing backups aren't things are aren't supposed to do. It's your console and you should be able to run whatever you want.

Updates are more to protect Sony's interest than ours. 99% of the time updates are bad news, although they can add new features. They are a mixed blessing.

What worries me isn't "attacks" but the PS3 being able to withstand them.

Sony's "safety" features are bad and I am not thankful for them. There is a need to worry because the PS3 can't play all the (latest) games and rule the world until it gets hacked.

Ya in all aspects except online. I have one and I can't play online.
