Bought a 750GB drive on www.newegg.com for $70 + $2 for shipping a week or so ago. Look online at pricewatch.com, newegg.com, and tigerdiect.com . All of those sites have some pretty good deals.

Try craiglist, you can sometimes bargain with people. Other then that bestbuy is the best to buy it.

Well it depends if you want to go 3.5 internal or keep with the small (2.5) external drives.

I got a 1TB 2.5 laptop drive on newegg for $90, pretty cheap.

Newegg is the way to go.

Here's a 500GB external for $54 by Western Digital (an excellent brand) with a good rating.

As a side note:

I hate it when people recommend best buy for things like this. Best Buy over prices EVERYTHING SO MUCH (well maybe a few things are only over priced a little) that it's ridiculous!

Like how I should buy a 3ft HDMI cable for $25 when I can get a high quality one for $2 online!? I think not!

Online stores are usually the best in all situations (unless you can't wait 3 days).
