What's the point of installing games?

    Faster load times(for most games), less use of the disc while playing and no loud sounds while the disc is being read. :smile:

    if you didnt need the cd...people would just rent games and install them...common sense


    also installing games, speeds up loading times and makes the XBOX produce less noise (doesnt need to read disc)

    Anyways installing the games on the hardrive lowers the noise, due to not using the cd drive. Because the cd drive isn't reading the disk the fan doesn't have to work as hard to keep the 360 cool. This should help reduce the RROD.

    GTA: IV loads a lot quicker for me.
    It's the only game I've installed so far.

    It cools down your 360 which gives you a lesser chance of it overheating. Also saves your games from being scratched :biggrin:
