I do not know how to check my model of my laptop, but I have a Sony VAIO. At times, i will be playing a game or listening to music, and my laptop will just freeze and begin making a strange buzzing noise, if anyone knows what to do, I would greatly appreciate it

That's probably your HDD. Since your OS and games are running off of there.

Most likely the HDD. Run diskcheck, or a SMART test in your BIOS if possible.
Get a new hard drive and transfer your files quickly, otherwise you may not be able to soon.

Yep your HDD is going most likely because you dropped it at some point. You will want to stop using it and get the files off the HDD as soon as you can before it becomes trash.

How does one do this? Because I had just gotten my laptop back from the computer repair place and they said it's fine.. How could they have missed a perfectly obvious problem? So how much is an HDD and where can I find one in my laptop

I am aware of that haha, but where does one find the way to checking the recovery disk? I mean, I will listen to music and it often freezes and the sound that was happening was from whatever my music was making, it doesn't stop for usually 2-6 minutes then it continues. I have tried many solutions to this but all solutions haven't worked so far. All I know is that it was like this about a year ago, I brought it to a computer fusion store to get it looked at, they didn't touch it at all for 4 months, took it back and went to another place and they replaced the screen, but the noise started happening again.. I am a wiz when it comes to most things concerning electronics and hardware, but this has got me stumped
I run YouTube, listen/watch some videos, after maybe one 2-4 minute song it freezes the screen then makes an annoying sound. Once it stops, it allows me to access YouTube or anything else, but it stops for maybe if I am lucky, 30 minutes. Some say it sounds as if when it freezes, the sound it was making was stretched and it sounds like a DALEK from Doctor Who. Just the sound though
