I have been thinking about upgrading to the Xbox One recently and I want to know if you guys who own one think it is worth it or not. The only thing I hate is basically leaving behind my friends who can't afford to get the Xbox One or simply just don't want it since there is no cross-platform parties. The main reason I want to upgrade is because a lot of the games I want are going to be coming out on Xbox One like Assassin's Creed Unity, but also I want to get Borderlands The Pre-Sequel which is only going to be coming out on the Xbox 360. So, aside from the rambling, what is your opinion on the Xbox One? Should I go for it or keep my money in my wallet?

I love my X1, BF4 plays beautifully on it and the snapping is amazing. Dont worry about your friends, they will get an X1 soon since the price will drop and the 360 servers will shut down.

It's going to be YEARS before they pull the plug on the Xbox 360. I think they said 5-6 years.

Keep your 360 then. Don't hinder yourself because you friends don't want to buy it. Thats their choice and you shouldn't need our opinion on this. If you want it, buy it. If you don't want it, don't buy it. Of course it was worth it to me. I bought it to play games, not as an extra phone. Keep the 360 if your so worried about your friends making the change.

Definitely worth it. The games coming out later this year look fantastic.

It wasn't worth it when i purchased it, in late November. However, now is the perfect time to get one, with games such as Destiny, and Halo coming out!

Yea I have that PC thing covered. $1200 custom PC, just choose to play mainly on console because that's where me and all my friends decided to go when we all got our first console that we could play together on. Also, I saw a vid on YT that you can plug in your 360 to the HDMI In slot and power it on and join a friends party and power the Xbox One and it will connect allowing you to still talk to your friend on 360 whilst playing Xbox One games. If that will work for me I have no problem upgrading. I just have to build a desk because this small one is crammed with gaming stuff.

That will work but you will have to use a mic connected to the 360 controller.

I upgraded to the x1 a week ago and I love it, but my friends miss me and want me to get on the 360. I'll try to at least connect my 360 and play with them every 1 to 2 weeks. I also want to play Borderlands the pre-quel but I think I might pass on that now.

X1 is awesome. Keep your 360, get an X1 and get new friends on it aswell. In that case you'll be able to play with your old ones and with your new until you old-friends get an X1.

Gameplay = just so freaking great.

That's fine with me. I have a extra wired one that I got from Gamestop a while back so I don't have to worry about batteries. The only thing I hate is that the Astro A50's that I am using make me sound exactly like this, except a higher pitch. (This isn't my video but that's what mine sound like)

Skip to 0:44 in the vid.

I have tried that. I will do it again just to make sure. Also, since I got mine MONTHS after those updates were out, wouldn't my model have come with the most recent firmware on it?

Did you get the 2013 edition or the 2011 edition.

There really isn't still a pull for me on my Xbox One, I found myself setting my 360 back up today actually. Once there are more games, like Halo: MCC, it will definitely pull me back, but at the moment it's a great Netflix box... :/
