I currently have XP, but have a Vista Home Basic CD in my possession. Should I keep XP? Or should I go to vista, I did my research on vista and a lot of people don't really like it. So I wanted se7ensins point of view on it.

How many gigs of RAM do you have on your machine? I would stick with XP if it's under 2GB....

Most people don't like Vista cause their PC is slow lawl..

If you have under like he said, you might want to stay with XP. My other machine has 4GB and is probably a little better than an average home PC, but it ran vista perfectly with 2GB.

    Pros and Cons of vista?

I don't want to install it and regretting it as the bar is almost at 100% lol.

    My RAM, is at 2gb.

I'll probably stay away from it because of its bad reviews but, just a few more ideas wouldn't hurt.

I personally really like Vista. Runs great on my PC and Laptop.. I think it's people that don't know how to properly use a computer complain about it.

Vista- Graphics and amount of RAM that can be added.

    XP- Speed and durability.

So if an OS were to come out with all of the above would be an awesome computer. Windows Vista XP

I have 2GB RAM, and am running Vista Ultimate with no troubles at all.

I'd recommend Vista to anybody considering it as long as they have 1.5GB+ RAM

    Not really. ^

When I was running 512 it was pretty slow, but when I added another to make it 1 gig...
I saw a significant increase in speed.

Windows 7 was crap for me. It wasn't fast for me it was really slow.

Plus it wouldn't run some of my games.

i like both xp and vista but i just switched to vista and i think i like it more.it has better visual appearance and it has features built in that i like, which is the search bar in the start menu and the preview of your programs your running when you mouse over the task bar.like everyone stated no one likes vista because they have **** computers. anything with 2gb or less ram is going to be slower than hell. i have 4gb of ram and my pc doesnt lag at all
