Windows Movie Maker. Difference from XP & 7 is the layout design. YouTuber ONLYUSEmeBLADE uses movie maker as well. Easy to use, and render time in minimum,

Go to start > all programs > windows movie maker. open that up and import the video and put it on the timeline. Put the playhead where you want it to end and click the blade tool on the top right of the timeline part under the playing screen. Then click the second part of the clip and delete it , then it ends where you wanted it too
