Did you try going into your computers bios? For example if you have a Compaq computer you would press F10 and load your bios and go to erase drive. It keeps everything except windows itself.

What brand is your USB drive man? Some USB sticks come with a lock switch on one of the flat sides. If yours has a small On/Off switch just switch it off and the protection will be disabled.

If your USB stick didn't come with a protection switch, try these steps:

1). Look on your desktop for the My Computer icon
2). Right-click it and select Manage
3). On the right-side menu select Disk Management, select your USB drive letter and then click Format.

If that didn't work then I will show you how to do it through Command Prompt:

1). Turn off your computer and plug your USB stick.
2). Turn your computer On and repeatedly press F8.
3). When you see the Advanced Boot Options menu appear select Safe Mode with Command Prompt.
4). After the selective files have loaded type this command:

C:\Windows\System32>A:

Press Enter and then type:

A:\>format A:

and press Enter again.

Note: I used the letter A as an example because that is the USB drive letter on my computer so you will have to use the USB letter that shows up on your computer

5). This removes the write-protection and will format your USB stick.

Let me know if it worked for you man.
