Unsolved 'Unjailbreak'

Few questions.

• If I update to 4.3, will my iPod (4.0.1 4th Gen) be alright?
• Will my warranty be void, even though it's not jailbroken?
• Will it break if I leave some jailbroken apps on the iPod?

Yea, I knew it would unjailbreak, just I kind of want my warranty back. It's a 32GB, and I dropped it today, which gave me a scare thinking it broke. It didn't, but I want to be safe.

Yea, I knew it would unjailbreak, just I kind of want my warranty back. It's a 32GB, and I dropped it today, which gave me a scare thinking it broke. It didn't, but I want to be safe.

All your apps will be removed. but you shouldn't worry. If you drop and break the phone just pop it into your computer and restore it and send it back to apple to have it fixed.

The next jailbreak should be out soon. As MuscleNerd is a champ and got the exploit for 4.3.1 and is just fixing some bugs.

Don't worry about the warranty after you restore it to 4.3 & when you restore, there will be no jailbroken apps of any sort on your iPod.

A good way to be sure is to DFU restore the iPod. This leaves absolutely no signs of the jailbreak if you ever took it to the Apple store.

The only way they know if you have jailbroke it is to check for SHSH blobs, which I doubt they bother to do.
