I cannot hear certain sounds when watching TV, or DVD's.
    Infact, even when playing GH3.

I have BOTH white and red cables plugged in.

Could you explain what certain sounds you're not hearing? Is it an older T.V.?

Well, for example, I was watched the Avenged Sevenfold Live in the LBC DVD, I noticed I couldn't hear the lead guitarist playing, only the rhythm.

    :what:
And I can't hear specific parts on songs on GH3. I have a newer TV; Sanyo.

No. Could it be that the outputs for one of the audio cables
    is bad?

i guess if some sounds are set to come through the left speaker and others from the right, then yeah that could be the problem as the red and white are right and left audio...
