This tutorial will cover how to remove a user account password on windows 8.1,8,7,vista, XP and 10 tech preview, without the need to type any long and hard to remember commands, any knowledge of the password and without the need to be very skilled when it comes to computers. Even though you don't need to be vary skilled, you do need to know how to set your PC up to boot from a CD/DVD drive or a USB flash drive/USB hard drive. This procedure usually takes between 5 and 10 minutes.

Required software and hardware:
This utility.
An empty CD/DVD disk or an empty USB flash drive/USB hard drive.
Patience.

NOTE: This tool text based, that means that there is no GUI (Graphical User Interface). Most of the intractable things will be displayed at the bottom of the screen, I have provided close ups to help you understand what you have to do.

Disclaimer: I am not the one who made this program and I take no responsibility for any damage caused by the use of this software.

I have now created a video guide for this tutorial, but please remember that the video is only meant to be a guide, not a full tutorial! You will probably still need to read this tutorial to be able to follow the video's instructions.
By the way, youtube stretched the video so it looks a bit weird at times, but it's still watchable, especially in HD.
Oh, and you might want to watch it in fullscreen mode, so that you can see exactly what I am doing.

Step 1
The first thing that you need to do is to download the utility mentioned above and extract it. If you want to use a CD/DVD to remove the password you will need to burn the iso called cdxxxx.iso to an empty CD or DVD disk. If you want to use a USB flash drive/hard drive you will need to create a bootable flash drive/hard drive with the image called usbxxxx.iso. There are instructions on how to do both on the website I have linked you to above. However, if you need it I am willing to write noob friendly instructions on how to do it, just tell me.
Note: The "xxxxx" is where the version of the utility that you are using goes.
As of 31.03.2015 the latest version is 140201
Step 2
You will need to set your PC up to boot from the device that you chose to use in step one. This is different for every bios type, so you will need to look up instructions on how to do it on your particular motherboard or PC. If you need help doing this I am willing to assist you, just let me know.

Step 3
After you have booted from the CD/DVD or USB drive, you will be presented with this screen.

To continue simply press ENTER.

Let it do it's thing and you will be presented with this:
bandicam_2015_03_27_20_19_24_051.jpg

Under "DISK PARTITIONS" you will see a few partitions labeled 1 sda1 xxxxx, 2 sda2 xxxxx..., if you are on windows 7 or later, you will probably have a system reserved partition, which will probably be displayed as 1 sda1 xxxxxxx 100 for windows 7 and 1 sda1 xxxxxxx 350 for windows 8 and later. Usually the partition that windows is installed on is going to be the one after the system reserved one. For XP and vista the windows partition should be automatically selected under "Possible windows installations found". This should also work for 7 and later, but sometimes it won't so you will need to select the correct partition manually. Simply enter it's number, 1, 2, 3 etc. and press ENTER.

After selecting the correct partition press ENTER, without typing anything. If the correct partition was already selected under "Possible windows installations found" you can simply press ENTER, without typing anything.

Next you will be presented with a screen like this one:

Type 1 and ENTER.

Step 4
At this point you can remove the CD/DVD disk or USB drive, that you used and restart your computer. Let windows start up normally and you will no longer be asked for a password when logging in.

Thank you for reading my tutorial. I hope that it helps you!
I am still a bit new to making tutorials so I would really appreciate it if you would spend a minute or two on giving me your feedback.
