.:: How to Create/Apply Patches with xPPF Express ::.

Applying a patch file with xPPF Express:
    ---------------------------------------------------------------------

For this I will be using Halo 2's highplains2.map (Tombstone) and David5534's "Tombstone Fun Mod"

Download xPPF Express if you havn't already and open it up

Click "Open" to select your map file

Navigate your way to the clean map file you wish to patch, select it and click "Open"

Click "Open" to select your patch file

Click the "Files of type" drop down and choose the type of patch file you will be patching with

Navigate to the location of your patch file, select it, then click "Open"

Select the "After Patching" options you want then click "Apply Patch" (I suggest leaving "Fix Encryption" checked)

Now resign your map and there you go

For resigning any Halo 2 map I suggest using my Halo 2 Map Resigner Pro

you know, the filter can be like xPPF(*.xPPF). it doesnt have to be in all lower case letters.

Either way it forces the input to lower case because of a simple detection method by reading the file extension and sets the code to use that type of patching method. I just was lazy.

Will this allow you to mod matchmaking unbanned?

Sorry I just got into H2 modding, I saw in another thread something about patching you files will let you play in MM without detection, so its basically like resigning an H3 usermap right?
