Hey everyone, I can only manage to find "Standalone" NAND X programmers, will this work? It seems like it only comes with a single cable, and I'm wondering where I can get the XSVF cable. Is this something I can make? Is it just a standard female header with regular wires?

Would the wires that come provided with the Ace do the job?

I don't think so, only because they are just bare wires, and they still need a way to attach to the NAND X. I decided to buy a JR Programmer instead that has all of the wires included, so I'll report back once I get it shipped.

I'm not on about reading the Nand, I'm on about soldering the chip to the motherboard, would they do the job?

Yes, it will!

You can, if you have the proper plugs, clips and tools. You can also solder directly onto the nand-x, but seeing as you got the JRP, then that won't be necessary.
Would the wires that come provided with the Ace do the job?
Yeah, they're going to work just fine!

I'll definitely post my results when I get it working. Here's a question for anyone a bit more experienced: Is the R4D4 point faster than C5R11? Would you guys recommend using it, or should I not bother risking it?

Yeah, it's good to have information on what works best from multiple sources!

I prefer R4D4 since it's closer to the chip and the RST wire can be made really short, but if you don't feel comfortable with it use the regular one.

Alright, I'm still waiting for my ACE to arrive from China, but here's the progress I have made so far. Hopefully this helps someone. I've managed to successfully read my NAND, so that's good, and I've soldered all of the wires needed for the ACE.

One problem I had that I hope won't be an actual problem is that I seem to have lifted a pad. The pad attached to the yellow wire popped off when I flipped the board over, and I managed to solder it back on, but I'm not sure if it's making any sort of connection. Is there an alternative point for this wire?

That's the alternative point  Did you scratch the top coating off it, before soldering the wire?

That's the alternative point? Then where is the actual point? I didn't scratch too much, I used my flux pen with a fiberglass tip, and it worked well and it make great contact. It wasn't until I flipped the board over and fed the wire through the hole that it broke off... Is there a way to test it to see if it's making contact? Is there some resistance value between another point, or continuity with another point?

Whereabouts is the R4D4 point located on a Corona V5? Can't seem to find it :/

R4D4 is only present on Trinity boards. Use the regular points for Coronas!

You need to install the drivers, before the JR logo shows up.

Well, I managed to successfully install the ACE into my Xbox! I actually bought 2 for the 2 Xbox consoles I have, but sadly I seem to have damaged one of them. One the working one I used the point C5R11 and it works perfectly, but on the other one I managed to rip off my R4D4 resistor and now I'm trying to fix it... If anyone has any ideas, or if anyone knows what the value of R4D4 is, please let me know!

Here's my pic of the completed ACE install: https://s11.postimg.org/pro69i2tf/IMG_20170424_214118.jpg

Pretty sure that's a 0 ohm resistor so, shorting the two points, it occupied, should work.

Is it necessary to program the acev3 to do s-rgh? I guess the timings need to be different?. I've read that it comes ready for corona. I have a slim-e with a v5. I only have a matrix nand programmer, guess I could modify it. Been using lpt for cool runners. I only mod when I find a cheap system, for kicks.
