Torx-t10 is required for the screws on the metal plate. You should use a small normal screwdriver to get the plastic shell of though.

I bought a Torx screw driver kit for $5 at home depot. I'm sure you can get them at other hardware stores for less than that.

I know that you can open it with a Crescent wrench with teeth. But you are taking a big chance of stripping the head of your Screws. And your Xbox

Best bet would be suck it up and pay a few dollars for a Torx-10. It won’t cost you more than $2-$4. Or just buy the small kits that will cost you $5 well worth the money and it comes with a variety or Torx sizes.

if you have a dremmel with the cutting wheel, just do a straight cut on each silver screw and use a flat head screwdriver, I'm not sure if you be able to get enough torque on it tho. but give it a shot.
