If I was doing a new build today, a socket 1336 CPU would be my last choice. It's more expensive than a 2600k and loses to it in many benchmarks. The i7-2600k ( socket 1155 CPU ) matches the performance of a $900 i7-990x due to the inferior architecture and overclocking options. As for the custom loop, if you don't know what you're doing, I'd advise staying away from it. It requires quite a bit of $, patience, and work. Yes, a $500 custom water-cooling system setup WILL give you better temps, but comparing it to a NH-D14 I seriously don't see how it's worth it.

As for the video card and PSU:

You're not spending enough on the video card(s) and overpaying for a low quality, overkill PSU. You could EASILY crossfire two AMD 6850's on a reliable 650w PSU. I don't see why would you EVER need a 1200 PSU.

If this was my build, I'd consider a 850w XFX / Corsair PSU matched up with a outstanding GXT 570.

Socket 1155 will also give you the ability to upgrade to future CPU's and GPU's ( Ivy Bridge and PCIE 3.0 ).

Just my 2 cents.
