Let me start off by saying I do NOT want something stupid posted here. No "I maed teh first jtag, I's teh leet." None of that, only serious answers please.


So, my question is simple, yet it seems so complicated... Who made the first jtag? I've heard you can jtag other stuff, so on that note, what was the first thing to be jtagged? Who came up with the concept of jtagging? Who sat there and though, "Maybe if I solder these two holes on my xbox together....I did it! The first jtagged xbox!!"

Any answers (within reason, refer above) will be accepted, I'm just really curious to know who did it :smile:

No. A JTAG is used to test electrical products. That's the simple explanation. Stands for Joint Test Action Group
