Pros of the Gateway 3DS
· Easy setup and use
· Save files could be backed up
· Plays identically to a retail game
· Can play most games
· Region Free
· Can spoof firmware
· Cartridge is made of high-quality plastic
· Fantastic support
· emuNAND
Cons of the Gateway 3DS
· No online gameplay
· Unit is pricey at around $80 USD
· Some games currently do not work

Pros of 3DSlink
· Cheaper than the Gateway 3DS
· Easy to set up and use
· Save files could be backed up
· Plays identically to a retail game
· Can play most games
· Region Free
· Can spoof firmware

Cons of the 3DSlink
· No online gameplay
· Plastic is of poor quality, which may lead to future contact issues
· Some games do not work yet
· Firmware is a copy of the Gateway team's work

So far, the only reason to consider the 3DSlink at this point would be for budget issues.

3DS link is great for the price but once Gateway releases the Multirom update for the flashcart it will stop getting updates since they use the same update as the Gateway does. The R4i and 3DSLink do not have an updatable chip on board. If you don't care for multirom in the future then its a great deal.

how about mt card? it is come out already, support multirom
It's a great card but I think it was rushed. Reviewers say it still doesn't play Pokemon or Animal Crossing, has no emunand, or play any game that requires firmware higher than 4.5. Multirom works good on it though
