Terraria World Converter v1.0.0.0

How to use:
1.) Select the conversion you want (PC -> XBox 360) or (XBox 360 -> PC).
2.) Select the world you want to convert.
3.) Select the destination folder, where the converted map will be saved.
4.) Click the button to convert.

If you convert PC -> XBox 360 you have the option to set 'Uncover World'. This option will uncover the complete world for the InGame map of the xbox version.
Warning: The converter only support the latest worlds of the PC version. If you want to convert older worlds, then open and save them with TEdit. It will save it in the newest format, my converter can read.

Isn't there additions in the Xbox version that aren't in the PC version? So wouldn't that cause problems?
Also as you have uploaded a .rar file, be sure to add a virus scan. Just to make sure.

Nice  Is there a program which does the other way? (PC to Xbox)

If you convert your map to PC you'll lose your exploration and all new console items in your chests, but all others things will be the same.

In the next release you have the chance to export your exploration before converting it to PC, then import it back if you convert it back to XBox format. Also the next release has a built-in chests and signs editor, where you can set all new console items.

I'm undecided about exporting/importing the chest data. Say you remove all chests in TEdit then the exported data couldn't be assign to your map anymore. Anyway, i will see while working on the new version.

This feature will be in the next release.
For now you can inject the PC map to your "Worlds" and the console version will convert it for you.

Just updated the converter. Now you can convert (XBox -> PC) and (PC -> XBox), but this converter can only read and save the worlds of the newest version of the PC for now. Anyway, have fun with converting your worlds.

Updated to the final version, which fixes a bug, where no wires will be converted to xbox version. Also added "Uncover World". This option will uncover 100% of the world for your InGame map of the xbox version.

Sorry for the circumstances, who have problems with the wires. I hope you forgive me.

would this allow pc maps to play on newest version of terraria 360? iv been not updating to play them. also during the conversion process does it remove entities from pc maps that would crash 360 version?

You can convert your pc worlds to xbox, but the xbox have less RAM and that means any world that are bigger than 5040 x 2040 (i think) will fail to load on the xbox. In the other direction you loss more data like the exploration of your map and all new items that are in the xbox version.

ok great I was curois what the map size limit was for 360 couldnt seem to find it anywhere. I will see if its possible to shrink some maps to test that theory. Also just out of curiousity again, the zelda map crashes on pulling a lever. what do you think would cause that? im not sure what lever does but still trying to look into it.

Thanks for the reply

Does the zelda world crash on xbox after converting it? If yes, could you send me your converted world?

XBox version saves all worlds in a STFS container, you can open with Horizon's Package Manager.
Inside the Package Manager click on "Contents" tab. There you find a list with all saved worlds, you can extract or replace.

Horizon Download: www.xboxmb.com

It should work if you don't convert too large PC maps, because the XBox version has a size limit(5040 x 2040, i think). If your converted world exceeds this limit, your world will fail to load on console.

Has the map format changed with the 1.2 update on console, the program doesn't work anymore (at least not for me).
