After completing the campaign, you can start a quest on Titan called "Enemy of my Enemy" that will set you on the path to acquiring the Rat King Exotic sidearm.

The quest has the following requirements before you can really get into it:

• Must have completed the campaign reached Level 20 to start the required quest line
• Must have access to Patrols from Cayde-6
• Must have Nightfall access
• Must have at least one other person in your fireteam that is also doing the quest with you

The first step to doing this is to complete the 3-part quest line that starts with "Enemy of my Enemy" that is given to you by Sloane on Titan. It's a 3 mission quest, and at the end of the 3rd mission, you'll receive an item called "Rat King's Crew" that has a flavor text in the form of a riddle. There are 4 riddles in total, you need to solve each of them in order to progress.

The Riddles are as follows (in this order):

1. The Rat King's Crew / Runs to and fro / Good girls and boys / Know where to go / Pick up your toys and darn your socks / On errand of woe, on errands we walk.
2. The Rat King's Crew / Goes arm in arm / To fight as one / To do no harm / So have your fun and run outside / Rally the flag and we'll never die
3. The Rat King's Crew / Goes four and four / With good good fights / They learn to score / Then three as one they stand upright / Return from past the wall and wanting more.
4. The Rat King's Crew / Stands three as one / They see Night's fall / And fear it none / But watch the clock as you scale the wall / Lest five remain hope comes for none.

The answers are as follows (in the same order):

1. Complete 3 Patrol missions
2. Complete 2 Public Events
3. Complete 2 Crucible matches (you don't have to win)
4. Complete a Nightfall with at least 5 minutes remaining on the clock

After completing Riddle #4, you will be granted the gun.

That's all! Nothing in between. Nightfall is the hardest part.

The only requirement you need in order to trigger this quest is to complete the campaign. The first riddle requires Patrol access, the third requires Crucible access, and the fourth requires Nightfall access. So you don't necessarily need to have access to those things before you get to the step that needs it.

As for doing the actual riddles, they don't need to be solved successively. You can do one, then do something else, or do them whilst you're doing another mission.

Pretty sure this drops at 280 guaranteed so it's not like the other quests where you are better off waiting until you're 265 before you do them to get the rewards dropping as high as possible.

The gun sucks in PvP IMO, but some people think it could have a use in the raid because of the special perk where damage is increased for every player using the weapon.

Yep, a team of 6 using it might cause some damage.

Can it be made an energy weapon? if so seems like it'd be great for the prism nightfall modifier if whole team had them.
