Sound card help

    I cant record using my mic. its in the right jack, but my computer isnt picking up any input sound.

    is the sound card messed up? if so, which one should i get?

    I need to record a playing test for high school band tonight. :confused:cared:

    make sure your sound card settings are set to receive from that device.

    what kind of sound card do you have, they usually have a program that comes with them that allows you to set what does what.

    sound blaster something or rather. lol

    try getting the program for said cound card, if you have a sound blaster then its from creative. Go into your sound card settings, usually you can go into your control panel and change settings in there.

    lol, creative gives out a free recorder with their sound cards. i used to mess around with it. its like the master recorder, it is like the main selector for the input. i forgot i had it set to midi for guitar recording. lol. so i fixed it. im such a noob.
