Torrents are much better for downloading. Use utorrent and locate the torrents on sites such as demonoid, or mininova.

I'm usually well over 500 kb/s usually around like 700 or so with torrents on a cable internet connection.

Why the **** is mine so slow then? Is that the same speed u download music and stuff at too? My downloads would only take like 4 hours instead of 28.

If you haven't opened and specified a port then your downloads will be very slow.

Choose your router, then your torrent client and it will tell you what to do step by step:

If you're downloading with utorrent like I suggested, here is a tutorial on speeding up utorrent.

    Woah. Bittorrents are horrible.

Go with rapidshare download links. I download them at 800 kb/sec on DSL.
    Code:

Of coarse I have a premium rapidshare account. If your talking about burning a .iso file use power ISO or Nero or something.

Why burn them for your computer if that's what your using them for why not use Power ISO and just mount the .iso files to your virtual drives. Much easier and way less time consuming.
