I open the program and it doesn't open. I've check the task manager to see what's happening and the program opens then closes almost instantly. I've tried both running it as admin and re-installed it and that's not helped.

Bear Bear and Cakes are the Windows gods.

I'm gonna start off with, did you restart your computer?

Can you link me to the program website?

You could just use the web client. I deleted the slack program because it was obsolete with the web client.

Uninstall Slack.
Download CCleaner and run the registry cleaner.
Install Slack.

I can't stand using the web based versions of things because of how un reliable my internet is.

Uninstall Slack.
Download CCleaner and run the registry cleaner.
Install Slack.
I'll give that a try. Thanks.

Bear Bear It's not worked. Once I've restarted my laptop slack now refuses to open once again.

Ok so here is what I've just done to fix this.

>Open My PC
>Check the security tab to make sure that I can alter things on my PC
>Find out it's in the name of a program and not the admin account.
>Fix this issue.
>Restart PC
>Uninstalled the old version of Slack that was not listed in the programs & features list with IObit
>Restart PC
>Run CCleaner
>Restart PC
>Run CCleaner again just to make sure.
>Notice slack shortcut on my desktop, run it and find out slack is now working.

If I get anymore issues then I'll once again reply to this thread.
