Hi there everyone,

I have an idea that I can load 0800FW onto my SDG-605B and then back up my good original XB discs using XBC. I have made a power adapter & the Sammy shows up in W7 & reads.

XBC doesn't see it however, and I think this may be due to the FW, or the fact that it registers as a slave drive in Windows.

Yes, my 0800 360 drives will rip gen 1 xbox discs, but not all of them. Some return errors & won't proceed.

Does anyone have any further info, or the 0800FW for this drive by any chance?

Seeing as it reads in W7, could it just be a case of running XdvdMulleter or something else to create the backups etc?

This is what XBC shows - note that the drive registers, but is deemed not applicable.

Could an earlier version of XBC work???

I have it and can PM it to you now. Do you have SSpatcher? I'm trying to make a backup of the original Mech Assault and Halo 2 and can't find SSpatcher anywhere.

Hey! I had a look on my old hardrive and found a few files for my old xbox dvd drive, I also did some searching online and found a few extra. I'm not sure if they are the ones you're looking for but i'll post them just incase:

Ah it's not letting me post the links... Says that it looks like spam.

thanks for the help - however as yet XBC still won't use the drive for ripping.

I think I might need to use an older version of XBC
