I understand you need a VIA Sata chipset in order to flash a samsung ms28 drive . I was wondering if I had the correct chipset so if someone could help me out that would be great.

    G IGABYTE GA-EP45C-DS3R LGA 775 Intel P45 ATX

I didn't see the SATA chipset listed under the specs. You could try to find the SATA controller on the motherboard and look at the printing on it. Or you could use a program like iPrep or MTK Flash. I think they will tell you if your chipset is compatible. FYI you'll probably need to use SATA port 1 for all flashing. Set up all your HDDs and Drives in your BIOS to leave port 1 or the Primary port open. If you can't get your onboard chipset to work you could always buy the PCI SATA card from newegg. I use one in a desktop and it works great.
