Hey guys I am new here so I am hoping that this is the right place for this but I have a couple of questions... Soo I have a Trinity Slim just sitting on my desk and was wondering about RGHing it (it's on the latest dashboard) and I was wondering if I need a DGX to RGH it.. I heard somewhere that I do since I have a Trinity on the latest dash also i was also wondering if I can also RGH it and when I wanted to play on live then I would just flash back the stock nand and when I wanted my RGH then flash it back to a modded dash or would this hurt the Xbox? I am trying to go for a dual nand kinda system without buying a demon or other dual nand system.. Thanks guys

You could RGH or RGH2 it if I am correct. As far as taking it on xbox live goes, you would not flash it back to stock nand. You would buy a Stealth Service.

Also, here's some reading material for you as you seem like you're just starting out:

Here's some of the best up-to-date guides which describe all there is to know about JTAG/RGH/R-JTAG consoles. They will answer all of the big and/or small questions you may have (keep in mind, R-JTAG kits and older RGH chips such as the CoolRunner Rev C may be difficult to come across because Team Xecuter stopped producing them. However, now that the new CR4 chip is out, users can now utilize the R-JTAG and RGH 2.0 exploits with ease):

The videos are easy-to-follow tutorials which will teach you how to set up all of the proper software and homebrew that will you ever need:

You no longer need a DGX to RGH Slims. That was a bypass around the 15574 update as far as I can remember as that dash stopped RGH on phats too. When the 15574 RGH block was bypassed they used the same method as the DGX used for slims but it also functioned on slims which means the DGX is no longer needed. I hope your good at soldering because if not, You could end up with a console that has Red dot of death. My advice is, Go for the alternative points for as many wires as you can as they are usually a lot easier to solder to and also mean that you are less likely to break your console. I had a slim in my store a little while back that had red dot because the person in question attempted the RGH install and ended up destroying the POST_OUT1 I believe, It was the little point next to X Clamp and He did not want to do any further harm to the console. A little time and I had it booting like a champ. Hope I helped you out.

Great advice, bad soldering is the number one reason why people fail to mod their console. And going for alternative/easier points will help too.

They don't realize that most of the points are covered with lacquer and panic when the solder won't take, it needs to be removed with a fiberglass pen or similar first, then they need to use plenty of flux and freshly tin each point with 60/40 solder first. Making sure they have each wire tinned as well, using more flux it's just a matter of placing the iron tip on the solder point and touching the wire to it.

Thanks guys, yeah I am not too good on soldering but I am not bad at it.. I just don't wanna break my Xbox  just a question and I know it might sound dumb but can't I just put the wire on the points and tape it down with electrical tape for the band reading wires? That way I don't have to solder it... Also do I NEED to have a fiberglass pen? Or can I scratch it off some other way? Thanks again hopefully I am not sounding like too much of a noob

Tape is not providing a near good enough connection needed for the chip to perform the glitch. And if you really wanted you could use a razor blade and lightly scrape it off.

Not for glitching, just to read the nand and then solder the points for the glitch chip cause I am gonna be doing a Dev nand and wanna grab my CPU key before I start soldering

Not for that either. You will probably end up with multiple bad blocks.

Alright so just solder all the points? Also would any damage occur if I left the nand wires soldered on the board? I would like to keep the band flasher connected to the Xbox so if I wanna flash a new name then I can just plug it in and go.. Thanks
